On November 8th, led by Professor Liu Yufeng-UNESCO Senior programme specialist, a 22-member delegation of UNESCO China Funds-in-Trust visited Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College(YWICC). The delegation had a field trip of YWICC’s innovation and entrepreneurship education, jointly advancing the “Future of Africa: China-Africa TVET Cooperation Program”. Xu Meiyan, Vice President of YWICC met the delegation.
The delegation visited YWICC’s International Park for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and held in-depth discussions with entrepreneurs growing out of international students from Tanzania, Gabon, Ethiopia, Uganda, Senegal, and other countries, focusing on topics including entrepreneurial platforms, project incubation, policy support, and admission applications and etc. Both the delegation and YWICC expressed a strong willingness to collaborate on innovation and entrepreneurship education.
Professor Liu Yufeng highly praised YWICC's practice and achievements in integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education with international education, particularly the establishment of the International Park for Entrepreneurship & Innovation for international students. She stated that UNESCO will play a bridging role in promoting educational cooperation and exchange between African institutions and YWICC.
