On the afternoon of December 18th, local time, our school's first overseas branch, the Morocco Yiwu Business School, was officially established in Casablanca, Morocco. Fan Yao, member of the Party Committee and Vice President, led a delegation to Morocco to attend the unveiling ceremony. Mohammed Barkaoui, president of the University of Mondiapolis in Morocco and a co-construction partner of Yiwu Business School, attended the unveiling with the school's teaching and management teams.
Morocco Yiwu Business School adopts the "2+1 (2 years of study in Morocco + 1 year of study in Yiwu)" training model, allowing students to obtain academic qualifications from both China and Morocco. In order to meet the growing demand for trade talents in both regions, the school took the lead in offering a major in International Economics and Trade. It has completed the recruitment, admission and registration of the first batch of 26 Moroccan students. It will introduce E-Commerce, Big Data Technology and other majors in the future. Morocco Yiwu Business School aims to promote the cross-cultural growth and skill improvement of young people from both countries, cultivate international talents, and serve the national "Belt and Road" initiative and the construction of the "World Capital of Small Commodities". Based on talent cultivation, it deepens comprehensive cooperation in teacher-student exchanges, such as professional co-construction and cooperative scientific research, to create a Chinese vocational education brand with international influence.
In 2022, Africa became the largest trading partner of Yiwu, the 'World Capital of Small Commodities'. Morocco is the first North African country to sign the 'Belt and Road' document with China. The economic and trade exchanges and cultural interactions between Yiwu and Morocco are increasingly frequent. The Morocco Yiwu Business School fully integrates the resources of the Yiwu small commodities market and the educational resources of both institutions. It also serves as a bridge for educational cooperation and teacher-student exchanges between the two regions. The school provides courses and practical platforms in language and culture, market procurement, cross-border e-commerce, and entrepreneurial incubation for young students who aspire to engage in international trade and innovative entrepreneurship. It aims to cultivate international talents for the economic and trade development between China and Morocco.
