On the afternoon of December 18th, local time, the inauguration ceremony of the Morocco Alumni Association of Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College was held at the University of Mondiapolis in Morocco. The ceremony saw joint accreditation by Fan Yao, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of YWICC, and Professor Mohammed Barkaoui, President of University of Mondiapolis. Representatives from our school's International Office, Recruitment and Employment Office, School of Foreign Studies, and School of Entrepreneurship attended the ceremony.
Moroccan alumni representative Nureman attended the inauguration ceremony. Nureman is a distinguished graduate of the 2020 class in Business Chinese from School of International Education of YWICC. He operates his own foreign trade company in Yiwu, which he founded after graduation. After the ceremony, Nureman introduced his study and life experience at Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College to the students of Morocco Yiwu Business School, encouraging them to diligently learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture to prepare for their next step of studying in Yiwu. Nureman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the inauguration of the Morocco Alumni Association and hoped that this platform would contribute to the career development of alumni, strengthen the connections between alumni, their Alma mater, and the region, and by harnessing the power of alums, further assist in their career achievements and promote the continuous overseas development of their Alma mater.
Many Moroccan alumni who have started businesses in China also sent their blessings in various forms. An alumnus, Baxie, who established a trading company in Yiwu, stated that his studies at the Yiwu Industrial & Commercial laid a solid foundation for his entrepreneurship. His trade company in Yiwu is doing very well, and he hopes that more Moroccan students will come to China to study and start businesses in Yiwu through the Morocco Yiwu Business School platform.
The Morocco Yiwu Business School is the first overseas branch established by the Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College. The school aims to cultivate international talents, export professional teaching standards, and serve the national 'Belt and Road' initiative and the development of the 'World Capital of Small Commodities'. Based on talent cultivation, it expands comprehensive cooperation in teacher-student exchanges, joint professional development, and collaborative research to create a Chinese vocational education brand with international influence.
The Morocco Alumni Association is the first overseas alumni association established by the Yiwu Industrial & Commerical College in Africa.Its establishment marks a closer connection between the college and the University Mondiapolis, promoting further deepening educational exchanges and international friendship between the two schools, which lays a solid foundation for China-Morocco and China-Africa friendship and future cooperative development, marking a milestone in their relationship.
