YWICC hires foreign teachers to diversify and enrich its international educational resources and services.The number of foreign teachers has increased from 6 in 2016 to 29 in 2022. Foreign teachers who come from theUnited States, Britain, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Mexico and other countries, teach not only foreign language courses like English, Spanish, etc, but also professional courses like international marketing,etiquette and customs in international business, hotel management, foreign guide, fashion accessories DIY inschools related to international commerce, management and creativity. They also participate in programconstruction activities.One of duties of the YWICC foreign teachers is to deliver regular lectures on such topics as foreign languagelearning, humanities and history, and cross-cultural exchanges to teachers, students and community members.
From 2018 to 2023, the college held more than fifty foreign lectures, attracting more than 5000 listeners on andoff campus, which has strengthened the international cultural atmosphere, enriched the multicultural campus,promoted cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, thus making a positive contribution to publicity of the college, dissemination of Chinese culture and enhancement of Sino-foreign friendship. YWICC’s continuous recruitment of foreign teachers with doctoral degrees reinforces the teaching and research capabilities of the foreign faculty team.
