To enhance mutual learning and appreciation between Chinese and international cultures and promote collaboration among government, colleges, and enterprises, the 10th International Culture Carnival, hosted by YWICC, officially opened on the morning of May 20 at the Danxi Cultural Hall. More than 500 people attended the opening ceremony, including representatives from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Department, the International Student Education Management Branch of the Zhejiang Higher Education Association, leaders from Yiwu Municipal Government and YWICC, as well as officials from provincial and municipal departments such as the United Front Work Department of Yiwu Municipal Committee, the Foreign Affairs Office, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Public Security Bureau, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Yiwu. Also present were representatives from Zhejiang collegeas and universities, local government and enterprise partners, international students, alumni representatives of YWICC.


During the opening ceremony, several major initiatives were launched: the unveiling ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Practice Base for International Students of Zhejiang Provincial Alliance of International Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship. A special “International Entrepreneur Sharing” session was also featured, where outstanding international alumni shared their entrepreneurial stories in Yiwu. Subsequently, the 7th Zhejiang “International Maker” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was officially launched, with guests jointly pressing handprints to mark the start of the event, symbolizing the hand-in-hand creation of a shared future by Chinese and international youth. Following the ceremony, a grand International Carnival Garden Party was held, featuring seven themed sections: Chinese Culture Experience Zone, Traditional Chinese Game Interaction Zone, World Culture Experience Zone, Zhu Danxi TCM Culture Experience Zone, Youth Maker Showcase Zone, Photography Exhibition Zone, and Free Style Mini-Stage, attracting thousands of Chinese and international faculty and students to participate. The festival showcased diverse cultural heritages from both China and around the world through various cultural performances and interactive games, being an important platform for youths over the world with shared dreams to communicate.
