On the morning of September 1, the closing ceremony of the 2025 Yiwu Silk Road Institute (Morocco) Study tour was held at the Intelligent Manufacturing Science and Innovation Training Base of Yiwu Industrial & Commercial CollegeYWICC. Through an in-depth study experience in Yiwu, Jinhua, Hangzhou, and other cities, teachers and students from Mundiapolis University and Omnia School of Business and Technology in Morocco gained a firsthand understanding of China’s development, deepened their appreciation for Chinese culture, and strengthened their expectations for the friendship between China and Morocco, bringing this cross-continental exchange journey to a successful conclusion.

 

Closing Ceremony

Vice President Sheng Xiangjun attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech. She emphasized that from the establishment of Morocco Yiwu Business School and Yiwu Silk Road Institute (Morocco) to the implementation of the "2+1" joint training program and the successful organization of this study tour, YWICC has always adhered to the philosophy of "openness, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit" to promote educational exchanges between China and Morocco. During this study tour, the teachers and students from Morocco were not only "learners" but also "cultural ambassadors." Their presence has added an international flair to Yiwu and further deepened the friendship between China and Morocco.

SAMAR MOUCHAWRAB, Vice President of Mundiapolis University, expressed hope that the participating students would serve as a bridge for cooperation between Morocco and China, contributing to mutual benefits in the fields of international trade and big data technology in the future. MOHAMED HARIK, Dean of Omnia School of Business and Technology, extended special thanks to the Chinese faculty for their efforts and expressed a desire to deepen collaboration in curriculum development and professional standard exports, enabling more Moroccan students to benefi.

The study program received strong support from Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association(SNAEIA). Secretary-General Chen Lu stated, "The association will continue to build platforms to promote cooperation between YWICC and Moroccan universities, while also facilitating connections between more institutions in China and in North African countries. This will form an 'China-Morocco +' educational exchange network and contribute to the educational initiatives of the Belt and Road."

As the first cohort of students in the "2+1" joint training program, the study tour participants had a special connection to this experience. They unanimously agreed that the past eight days exceeded their expectations, allowing them to witness firsthand that China is a authentic, diverse, and dynamic country. They expressed their intention to apply the knowledge gained in China to contribute to Morocco’s economic development upon their return.

The Yiwu Silk Road Institute (Morocc) Study Program has concluded successfully. Guided by the Belt and Road Initiative, YWICC will continue to promote the implementation of more international education cooperation projects with an open mind and pragmatic actions.
