On November 5, a delegation of 12 people from Ghana Ministry of Education, Ghana Ministry of Sport and Youth, Ghana University and Ghana University Confucius Institute visited YWICC and discussed cooperation matters with the college. The delegation was composed of government officials and university administrators including Nana Opoku Wereko-Ampim, Chairman of Ghana Ministry of Education Vocational Education Technology and Training Committee, William Kartey, Director of Ghana Ministry of Sports and Youth, Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Vice Chancellor of Ghana University, Emelia Naa Kwantsua Agyei-Mensah, Academic Dean of Ghana University, Wang Jimin, Chinese Dean of Ghana University Confucius Institute. Fan Yao, member of Party Committee and vice president of YWICC, met with the delegation. Director of the International Office and the School of Entrepreneurship and relevant staff participated the meeting.
Fan Yao extended his warm welcome to the arrival of the guests on behalf of the college. He introduced the school history, diploma programs, international cooperation and so on. Fan said as a college based in Yiwu - an international commercial city, the college integrates its actual situation with the demand of the local economy development to form the three characteristics of entrepreneurship education, creative education and international education. He introduced the achievements of the three characteristic education with detailed data. According to Fan, the college attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation. It has cooperation with more than 100 universities and institutions around the world. As a famous international trade city, Yiwu has a close tie to Africa. He hoped that the school will establish long-term and fruitful cooperation with the Ghana.
Nana Aba Appiah Amfo expressed sincere thanks to the warm reception by the college. She introduced Ghana University and expressed her hope to establish a direct, long-term cooperation with YWICC in different aspects such as the construction of Silk Road Institute, entrepreneurship course training and contest, teacher-student exchange and other projects to promote the education and cultural exchange between the two countries.
