From March 23 to 24, 2023, a youth delegation from Silk Road School of Renmin University of China visited Yiwu for a research study. Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College was an important stop on the itinerary of the delegation, which was comprised of more than 30 international students from 17 countries such as Russia, South Korea, India, Mongolia, Mexico and Brazil. While on the campus of YWICC, the delegation members learned about the college’s school-running practice and participated in a symposium held there on interaction between the Yiwu government and the local enterprises. They also visited the Jiming Hill community, International Trade Mart, the Yiwu railway port, Chen Wangdao’s former Residence, the ancient street of Fotang, etc, and were deeply impressed by Yiwu’s unique culture and its strong entrepreneurial atmosphere, which helped them better understand China’s development model.
